Here’s Bridalveil Falls in Yosemite at what I’ll call the rainbow hour.
I’ve seen plenty of rainbows in the mist near waterfalls before, but this was different. As I watched, the colors seemed to flow down within the water like paint or dye. I had never seen this before.
For about 30 minutes I watched as the colors began to rise from the bottom starting with a yellow mist. As the now yellow/orange colors worked their way up through the water, all the other colors followed. I saw a vibrant Turquoise flow somewhere in there. It blew my mind. I felt blessed to be in the right place at the right time and I thought I must do artwork of this. This piece is my follow-through on that thought.
