ROCK CREEK LAKE. In the fall I visit a few key spots there most years. This place has what I call “The Magic” In this case it’s a special fleeting beauty. It’s at about 9000ft. In a good year fall colors may last a week or 2. In a bad year severe wind coupled with extreme cold blacken and remove most fall colors before they peak.
