This  WESTERN TANAGER by Frank Lee Hawkins artwork is inspired by the migration of birds moving through the eastern sierra. It was fun figuring out how to do this artwork and watching the habits, attitudes, and actions of this type of bird, its young, its larger family, colors of the male in mating season are vivid, bold and striking.
